Results....

After my 20 week ultrasound I went to my 20 week appointment the next day. It just so happens that when I call in to schedule something that they had an appointment available the very same day. I have been so happy ever since getting to see my little guy yesterday that I couldn't imagine anything could ruin it, but my bubble was just busted (a little bit). It wasn't smashed into a million pieces or anything, but I'm kind of upset. Everything measured normal at the doctors office with me; BP was good, measurements were right on, weight was good (I'm finally 2 lbs over my starting weight), and everything just seemed to be right on track.....

(This^^^ is my worried face)
EXCEPT: The doctor had received my results from my US and she was a little concerned. She didn't seem overly concerned at all just worried enough to set me up with another US in 3-4 weeks. What she basically said was that there is a point system given to babies in utero for growth and that my baby was 2 points out of normal range (I think the system is like a 1-10 from what I could understand). She said everything is growing proportionally it's just not growing at the rate that it should, for example the gestation age is not matching the correct fetal growth measurements for the amount of time that it should be at as of now. She said that she is not going to get too worried (and that I shouldn't be either) until we get the results from my next ultrasound. I don't know how she doesn't want me to worry or how I'm not supposed to worry! She said that with the next ultrasound it will give the baby 4 good weeks of growth and development and that they will do more measurements to try to determine what is going on and or if we should still be worried or continue with normal care. Basically she said worst case scenario is that I am put into the hospital towards the end of my pregnancy and monitored by a Neonatologist and OB specializing in high risk pregnancies. BUT she said that would be WORST CASE SCENARIO! And I am praying that it doesn't have to come down to that!

I asked the doctor if there was anything I could do to help or if there was anything I was doing to hurt. She basically said that I should continue what I'm already doing eating right, taking the prenatal vitamins, and don't overexert myself. She said everything should be fine and again I shouldn't worry.

So keep Baby Boy Lowe in your prayers and hope that he hits a growth spurt LIKE soon:) Because he has his momma all worried!
 Ok now happy picture:)
