I know I have a food issue, I don't always make the best choices, but I have been trying! I think one of my favorite Austin Powers quotes is, "I eat because I'm unhappy, I'm unhappy because I eat" Honestly, this describes my eating habits!!
My new food goal is to eat less salt/sodium in my diet. It has seriously gotten out of hand. I find myself eating soups, freezer food, fast food, and everything that is processed...ewwww! So the new rule is no snacks with salt, either fresh fruits and veggies, or non processed with low sodium....and main meals have to contain foods with 800mg or less per serving size!
Sounds easy right?? Well, no it's really not. I was reading something today on myfoodpyramid.gov and it was listing foods to stay away from and basically everything that I eat either daily or weekly was on the list! BOOOOOOOO!!! And yes I realize sodium is important and necessary to have in your diet and you can't cut it completely but in my case it will definitely be necessary to cut down A LOT. At the end of this pregnancy i'm hoping to not be Wish me luck because I will need it!!
And P.S. for everyone wondering I'm not going to stop eating pickles. I think that is a pregnancy necessity! So, the answer is YES I will still be eating lots and lots of pickles! ha ha
