I Feel Pretty Today:)

When you have kids it is really hard to get that "thing" back that makes you feel pretty. Jack is now 11 weeks old and I finally feel semi-good. I got out to go to a doctors appointment today and I got dressed up, put on make up, straightened my hair, and even put on a cute pair of wedges (if you know me this is unheard of!!! I never wear anything other than flip flops!!!) It felt so good; so this weekend i'm getting rid of all of my maternity clothes. NO MORE frumpy for this girl!! I am not preggo anymore so i will not wear my maternity jeans or tops ANYMORE:) They are going deep into the closet in a box so i can't even think about wearing them until i'm pregnant again lol....

I've been going to the gym and i'm at 135 (no shame:/)and dropping weight like crazy. It is hard work but I am dedicated. Eating right and getting a (SEMI) regular workout routine going on! I have my set backs, I can't help it that i lovvve all the things that are bad for me;) My goal weight is 125, my ultimate goal will be 120. I'm not too crazy about getting down super skinny now since i'm still breastfeeding so i'm going to try and do it the healthy way!

Alright wishe me luck! 10ish lbs to go:)

Great Big Sister

In the weeks since Jack arrived Presley has really become such a great big sister! When I found out I was pregnant she wanted to buy him everything. I was probably around 10 weeks along when we found this little snuggie blanket bear. It was neutral in color and Presley really really really wanted to buy it for "the baby". We bought it and put it away to wait for the little bundle to get here! This bear was absolutely the first thing that we bought for the new arrival.

After the move we packed everything away and the little bear got lost in the shuffle. While Kevin and i were looking for some items to get rid of we realized we had about a thousand of those snuggie bears. I sold them as a lot and the lady came to pick them up. She wanted all of the blankets except for one and wouldn't you guess she didn't want the little brown bear. THANK GOODNESS because Presley and I realized at that moment it was the one we had bought for "the baby" all thsoe weeks ago. We have been giving it to Jack and he loves that little thing. And to see Presley give it to him absolutely melts my heart. She really is a great big sister!

It's been a while!

Wow...How time will fly! Lots to update on:)

Kevin came home!! Yay we are so happy to have him home and safe. I don't think anyone has any idea how stressful things can be when your significant other is away in a combat zone. The minute we saw him through the security glass at the airport it was like a thousand bricks were lifted off my shoulders:) I can't believe two weeks has already gone by since he's been back. We have been doing lots and lots of catching up and getting ready for baby Jack:) Presley is so super excited to have her daddy home, OBVIOUSLY! I don't think she has let him get out of her sight for one minute!
(LOVEEEE)

I am now 32 weeks pregnant woo hoo. If Jack decides to come in the same time frame as his sister we could have another member of the Lowe family in 4 weeks!! Seems crazy how fast everything has been going. I am so excited to have my little guy here already. He is a mover and a shaker. He moves 10 times more than Presley ever did and he has given me more problems (way more) than Presley ever did! I guess he's just starting early. We went to get a 3D/4D US last week and it was so fun to see him and his little face!:)
Here is my little man at 31 weeks!!
I am also at the "i'm done being pregnant stage" right about now!!! He is so big and i'm so uncomfortable and there is absolutely no sleeping going on. I also have heartburn soooooooo bad that I can hardly chew gum without feeling yucky! So basically I just can't wait to finally have him here so most of these issues will subside:))

I got maternity pictures done at 28 weeks here are a few shots. If you haven't already seen them on my facebook page:

Alright I think I have updated quite enough for now!!! :) Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week!

Most exciting project EVER!!

ALRIGHT everyone, This is the project I am most excited to share!!!!! I don't think there are enough exclamation points to express my excitement :). I am so very proud of myself mostly because I hand painted the whole thing!! (well with the help of stencils but it was still no easy task!!!) It actually isn't all the way finished, but I couldn't find the right hooks at the hardware store and I really didn't have enough time to look around. The sign is actually is two separate pieces of wood (the blue and the red) If you couldn't tell. To finish it I'm going to put small hooks on the top sign to hold the bottom sign. Then paint another piece of wood that says Okinawa since it is our first 'real' duty station as a family and hang it under the red sign! I love it. I have always seen these and been so jealous, but now I have one of my own that I made which makes it ten times more special (at least I think).

(You have to admit I have the cutest model EVER!!!!)
The process (although it took me forever) was simple. I bought two pieces of wood painted them the solid blue and red. Then I found a font that I liked and print it out to fit the wood. I cut all the letters out and then I traced the letters onto the wood. Next, I started the filling in process with the different colors of paint. I probably did about 4-5 coats of each color. I especially had to paint the yellow a ton of times because the red was so dark. Then I used a clear wood coat to finish it off so it would be super shiny. I know the pictures aren't the best but you get the idea!
Let me know what you think!!
